On Thursday June 17, 2010 I had the privilege of watching The Foy Brothers open up at Albany's acclaimed Alive at 5 event.
The Foy Brothers Band is a multi talented Soul/Funk/R&B/Blues band that has been entertaining audiences in the Capital Region for over ten years. The band consists of the following members:
Mark Foy: Drums, Lead Vocals, Backup Vocals
Kevin Foy: Lead Vocals, Backup Vocals
Charee Hendricks: Keyboards, Lead Vocals, Backup Vocals
Mark Giammattei: Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar
John Ellis: Bass Guitar
The lead singer of the group, Kevin Foy, is a long-time friend of my mother and one of the most talented individuals I know. We have been talking back and forth and it seems there may be a Big Malk/ Kevin Foy/ Foy Brothers collaboration on the horizon.
